Bio
Peon Boyle is a Hong Kong-born British artist based in the South Downs. Working across printmaking, sculpture and textiles, her practice explores the relationship between traditional printmaking techniques and three-dimensional forms.
Beginning with simple sheets of paper, Peon folds, stitches and constructs sculptural, textile-like pieces, allowing the materials to guide the creative process. Her work explores the boundaries between two- and three-dimensional art, bringing together elements of craft and fine art.
Peon has exhibited nationally since 2017, including at Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. Her work is held in private and public collections, including Worthing Museum and Gallery and the National Library of Portugal.
She received a funded artist residency in 2025 and has been recognised through several awards and exhibitions. She won the 2024 Mercer’s Award, was nominated for the Sussex University Vice Chancellor’s Award and was shortlisted for the QEST Scholarship in 2023 and Sussex Artist of the Year in 2010.
