Mounting and Matting Services

Window Mount

The artwork is placed behind a hand-cut window which is available in a range of colours and textures.

Float Mount

A floating frame creates the illusion of artwork floating within the frame. The glass is lifted away from the artwork with a space which can be the same colour as the frame or a contrast.

Shadow Float

This type of framing is similar to the float mount but the artwork is lifted from the backing which forms a shadow under the artwork.

Tray Frame (Float Frame)

A more recent framing technique used on canvases and boards. This framing technique gives the illusion of floating inside the picture frame without touching it.

Box Frame

A modern-day alternative to a traditional frame, it enables more depth for the artwork.

Frames for Tapestry and Embroidery

Stitched work can be double mounted or a spacer inserted to allow for embroidery and tapestry stitches to stand proud of the backing.

Glazing

We have various options including standard float glass, diffused glass/non-reflective, art glass (non-reflective with UV protection, museum quality which offers the maximum protection for valuable pieces). We also have acrylic glass options both standard and non-reflective.
